The Northern Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce (NHCCC) brought its year to a festive end at the recently renovated global headquarters of United Animal Health in Sheridan. Ronny Moser, Vice President of Research, took members on a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the company and its 56-year journey from its humble beginnings to a global enterprise operating throughout the United States and in over 20 counties.

Moser shared that it was founder John B. Swisher’s unique business model, strong vision and commitment, utilizing educated employees as its sales force, building collaborative partnerships, and diversifying into the research sector that helped solidify its place in the pork, chicken and dairy nutrition industry.

The Chamber’s annual bottle auction helped raise over $850 for two local charities. Local architect and Chamber member Parvin Gillim led the auction of disguised bottle items to the highest bidder. (Photo provided)

The Chamber’s own Parvin Gillim entertained as auctioneer at the annual bottle auction, which raised over $850 for Mama’s Cupboard in Sheridan and Secret Families Christmas Charity of Hamilton County.

In other meeting highlights, the public is invited to a special retirement celebration for Steve Martin, who has served as the Sheridan Public Library Director for more than a decade. The reception will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 at the Sheridan Library.

President Wade Wiley shared a note of appreciation to United Animal Health for its serving as the Chamber’s Champion Member in 2019 and hosting the last meeting of the year.  In addition, he expressed a heartfelt thank you to Terri Millbank for her years of service to the Chamber as a two-term member of the Chamber Board of Directors.
