Noblesville’s remaining railroad beds to be removed from 8th Street

The City of Noblesville will begin removing the remaining railroad tracks from 8th Street on Monday, April 6. Removal of concrete bases and rails will take place on South 8th Street from the south side of Conner Street to the north side of Logan Street. A new strip of asphalt will replace the tracks.

Work will be performed during the day and is expected to take approximately five days, weather permitting. 8th Street between Conner and Logan streets will be closed during the project. Conner and Logan streets will remain open to traffic, but with restrictions between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
