The Noblesville Parks Department invites residents to enjoy the annual Movies in the Park Series at Forest Park, with various movies from a Disney classic to new award-winning favorites. Beginning with “Coco” on Saturday, Aug. 25, the 2018 film series provides six consecutive weeks of free screenings and enjoyment for the entire family.
“The Movies in the Park Series has been an ongoing tradition in Noblesville for a number of years,” said Noblesville Assistant Parks Director Mike Hoffmeister. “Attendees can enjoy family friendly movies, bring a blanket, their dinner or snacks and enjoy an evening of cinema at Noblesville’s beautiful and historic Forest Park.”
The movies will begin at dusk at Shelter No. 1 at Forest Park and will be projected on a 30-foot inflatable movie screen. Light concessions will be available for purchase at all movies.

Saturday, Aug. 25
Coco (PG, 109 minutes)
In Disney•Pixar’s vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, aspiring young musician named Miguel embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions. Voiced by Anthony Gonzalez, Gael Garcia Bernal, Alanna Ubach and Renee Victor.
Saturday, Sept. 1
Beauty and the Beast (PG, 129 min.)
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. Cast includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and Kevin Kline.

Despicable Me 3 (PG, 90 min.)
Illumination, who brought audiences Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, “Despicable Me 2” and “Minions,” continues the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters – Margo, Edith and Agnes – and the Minions in “Despicable Me 3.” Voiced by Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker, Miranda Cosgrove and Dana Gaier.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (PG-13, 119 min.)
Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves – or they’ll be stuck in the game forever. Cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas.

Cars 3 (G, 109 min.)
Race car Lightning McQueen suffers a severe crash while trying to compete with a younger rival named Jackson Storm. Afterwards, McQueen embraces new technologies as he trains for a return to the racetrack. Voice by Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Armie Hammer, Nathan Fillion and Kerry Washington.
Saturday, Sept. 29
Wonder (PG, 113 min.)
A 10-year-old boy with a facial deformity attends school for the first time when he begins the fifth grade. With the support of his parents, he learns how to make friends and adjust to his new environment. Cast includes Julia Roberts, Jacob Tremblay, Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin and Millie Davis.
In addition to the movie series, the parks department is partnering with the Forest Park Aquatic Center to host a Flick ’N Float on Friday, Aug. 31 with the movie “Soul Surfer” (PG, 106 minutes). The movie will start at dusk and will be shown on the pool deck while attendees view the movie from the pool. Pool admission after 5 p.m. is $4 and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
