Noblesville’s Klipsch Music Center getting new name this month?

The Reporter has learned that Noblesville’s Klipsch Music Center will get a new name, possibly this month.

The five-year contract for naming rights to Klipsch Music Center expired in October 2016.

The venue is owned by Live Nation Entertainment. Since Live Nation did not have a new naming sponsor for the venue at the time the Klipsch contract expired, they reached an agreement with Klipsch to use their name for one more concert season while they looked for a new sponsor, rather than rename the venue twice in two years.

Originally known as Deer Creek Music Center, the venue is an outdoor amphitheater capable of holding 24,000 people. From 2001 to 2011 naming rights were held by Verizon, when it was known as the Verizon Wireless Center. It’s most recent name has been the Klipsch Music Center for the last six years.

The new sponsor, and thus the new name for this venue, may be revealed in as little as 11 days.

Live Nation recently revealed that they will have a “major announcement” on Sept. 27 at the venue currently named Klipsch Music Center. While Live Nation has not released any further information about this announcement, they have indicated that there is a new sponsor.
