A total of 15,000.

That’s how many swings that Noblesville’s Aiden Reynolds took during the offseason when he was just 11 years old. That was the same offseason where he started taking baseball more seriously.

Clearly, it’s paid off as Reynolds, a 2026 grad, has committed to play baseball at Indiana University.

“They want what’s best for me and my family,” Reynolds said about the coaching staff at Indiana. “Some coaches at other schools only cared about baseball and that’s not what I was looking for in a school, I wanted a place that cared about me and my family because that’s something that I value.”

It’s also something that his coach at Noblesville values, too. Reynolds said he was in middle school when he first met Noblesville Head Coach Justin Keever. However, Reynolds remembers Keever coming to watch him play when he was playing Babe Ruth ball.

“He would always come out and watch me play, never talked much at that time, but, in middle school, talked to one of my classes and that was the first time I ever met him. He’s great, big family guy. He always talks about that, we are a family, we do things together, and I love that.”

Reynolds, an infielder, is the ninth-ranked player in the state for the class of 2026. He said that he would love to help the Noblesville Millers win state this season.

“We have a lot of players returning from last year so we would love to go undefeated in our conference, I don’t think that’s been done for a while.”

Reynolds who plays travel ball with the Indiana Bulls during the summer and trains out of Pro-X in Westfield said that he owes everything to his family, especially his mom, Shantel and dad, Scott.

“She’s the emotional support, she may not everything that’s happening on the baseball field but she’s the most supportive person.” Reynolds said about his mom.

As far as his dad goes, Reynolds points to those 15,000 swings and more.

“He’s taught me everything, he’s found coaches for me, he pays for everything, I owe everything to him.”
