Noblesville wins county Unified track meet

CARMEL – The Noblesville Unified track meet won the Hamilton County meet, which took place Wednesday at Carmel Stadium.

The Millers scored 125 points to finish in first place for the third consecutive year. Fishers was the runner-up with 101 points, while the host Greyhounds scored 97 points. Hamilton Heights placed fourth (92 points), Hamilton Southeastern took fifth (87 points) and Westfield placed sixth (74 points).

Noblesville had several student-athletes win their divisions, with all of them scoring 10 points. The Millers that placed first in their divisions were: Aiden Brewer in the 100 dash, Aiden Perez and Channing Brown in the 400 dash, Camille Rollins in the long jump, and Jrue Kanté and Barrett Zoeller in the shot put.

“It feels great to see the kids so happy,” said Millers coach Mike Johnston. “That’s the best part about it all is seeing them happy.”

Fishers won the girls 4×100 relay; team members were Ava Sharp-Jones, Emmaline Akers, Mira Warnick and Leah Hruskoci. James Iverson won his division in the 100 dash.

Carmel’s team of Cameron Brady, Carlie Halter, Will McKee and Cariden O’Connell finished first in the boys 4×100 relay. Sophia Landrigan won her 100 dash division, as did Stone Stephenson and Samantha Gregory in the long jump.

Heights’ Aidan Unger won his 400 dash division, while Southeastern’s Cade Joniec won his 400 dash division. Westfield’s Brandon Price won his shot put division.
