Dear Editor:

Joe Forgey is someone I have known for several years, as his grandson and my son run cross country and track together at Noblesville Schools.

Our family has always been blessed by his kindness as a person, and we have seen firsthand how he supports Noblesville Schools and its athletic programs. He has always been a huge encouragement to the cross country and track teams, and there haven’t been many meets that I haven’t seen him at running around and cheering for the Noblesville teams.

His passion for the wellbeing of our schools is evident when having a conversation with him. He truly wants the very best for students and teachers at Noblesville Schools. His agenda, from my perspective, is for the good of the people.

His radical liberal views that include supporting the hiring of a “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” Executive that will cost $100,000.00 plus education dollars is just one reason his years on the school board should end. Thanks, but no thanks.

I’ve known Dr. Joe my entire life. 36 years. Whatever he’s doing, I support fully. He’s one of the good ones left in this world and I’d personally like to keep him doing whatever it is he loves and does best. He has been a major positive influence in my life and many others. I was once one of the little kids that looked up to him. Now, I’m an adult and my kids look up to him. Whatever it is you’re doing , Go Joe! ♡

With all due respect, if you don’t know what he’s been doing or not doing on the School Board, you are not a good judge of whether or not he’s doing a good job. Being a nice person is not an automatic qualification for any job.
