Noblesville thanks residents for their care during cold snap

Dear Editor:

The City of Noblesville has closed its temporary warming center at The Lodge at Forest Park. For the past two days, we appreciate all of the comments, shares and concern for others that our residents have posted. We never cease to be amazed by our residents and the care for others they show.

The city also wants to thank Pizza Hut (825 Westfield Road), Chuy’s (14150 Town Center Blvd.), Horizon Bank (44 S. Eighth St.) and a few residents for graciously bringing food donations to the warming center. We greatly appreciate your willingness to assist and help those in need without being asked. You are all great community partners and we thank you. The leftover items you provided have been donated to the township trustee’s food pantry and community center to help those in need or facing hard times.

The city encourages those that have asked about donating to contact the Noblesville Township Trustee’s Office at 317-773-0249. They are able to accept and dispense items to those in need now and throughout the year.

This center was made possible through a collaborative effort between multiple city departments, the Noblesville Township Trustee’s Office and Hamilton County Emergency Management.
