Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen’s Summer Soirée held July 8 at Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center, 13700 Conference Center Drive S., was a huge success with every table filled and lots of money given in support of local organizations.

Beneficiaries receiving funds raised included The Cooper House, Senior Citizens Organizations, Inc., VFW Post 6246 in Noblesville, Noblesville Youth Sports Alliance and the Noblesville American Legion.

Mayor Jensen spoke about the growth he has seen in the city during his administration’s tenure, which includes $1 billion in committed private capital development in the last two and a half years.

One of the night’s highlights was a game called Heads Or Tails.

Participants bought strings of beads, with each set of beads being one chance or “life.” Everyone involved would puts both hands on their head or their tail before a coin toss. Those correctly guessing the coin toss got to stay for another round. Those who were wrong had to remove a set of beads. When you ran out of beads, you were finished.

Mike McBride from American Structurepoint won the night and $1,000 to boot (pardon our pun).
