Noblesville Schools delays start date

Noblesville Schools has announced the district will delay the start of the school year by one day.

A statement issued by the district said, “In this unique year, our teachers and staff have told us they need a bit more time to prepare classrooms and materials for students. Based on this, we will be pushing back our school year start date from Monday, Aug. 3 to Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020. To account for this change, Jan. 4, 2021 will now be a student school day on our calendar.

“The flexibility we’ve provided parents to choose their preferred learning option, and then to change their mind about that option, has both increased the complexity of our planning and reduced our time to plan.”

An update to the 2020-2021 school calendar can be seen at this link.

The district encourages parents and students to check noblesvilleschools.com/return for the most up-to-date plan information and language to clarify our plan for masks and what to do if your child is ill.
