Noblesville Schools announced Monday that Donna Clark, a member of the Noblesville Schools Board of Trustees, is resigning her position due to a family relocation out of state.
Clark has served on the board for almost six years, being elected first in 2012 and again in 2016.
“This was a tough decision for my family and I’m sad to be leaving,” said Clark. “This has been the most rewarding job I’ve ever had and I’m proud of the amazing staff at Noblesville Schools. Thank you for the honor to serve our schools and the Noblesville community. I will miss everyone and wish you all the best.”
School board president Kevin Kalstad added, “The entire board wishes Donna and her family all the best in this exciting new venture and thanks her for her many years of service to Noblesville Schools.”
Clark has been involved with numerous community organizations over her years in Noblesville including the Noblesville Parks Board, Hamilton County Leadership Academy and Noblesville Youth Sports Alliance.
As a school board member, Clark has overseen the hiring of superintendent Dr. Beth Niedermeyer, the district’s effective management of growth, enhanced workforce development initiatives and strengthened community outreach programming. Her last day on the board will be June 15.
As required by Indiana statute, the board has 30 days in which to appoint Clark’s replacement. Interested and qualified members of the public that reside within the school corporation boundaries may submit their application at this link.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, June 29. Interviews for the vacancy will occur from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 and the board will vote on the selected replacement on July 13.
