The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.
- The board recognized Teachers of the Year and music educators.
- Students were honored for achievements in art, journalism, indoor percussion, winter guard, and robotics.
- Promise Road Elementary was this month’s spotlight school and they shared about their school theme “Growing Together.”
- Annual updates to student and employee handbooks were approved.
- The board approved that two future-construction neighborhoods currently in the Noble Crossing Elementary boundary area will be realigned to Stony Creek Elementary and Hazel Dell Elementary to minimize family disruptions and ensure adequate space for future students.
- Bond hearings will take place this summer for NHS maintenance projects.
