Noblesville Schools appointed two new district leaders at the June 20 Board of Trustees meeting.
Julie Thacker was named Executive Director of Student Services and Rob Williamson was named Director of Transportation. Thacker will replace Laura Denis, who is relocating out of state, and Williamson will take over for Brian Zachery, who has announced his retirement effective Jan. 1, 2024.
Thacker joins the district from Plainfield Schools, where she is currently principal of Central Elementary School. She has also held positions as a guidance director, assistant principal, and middle school English teacher. In her role as Executive Director of Student Services, Thacker will oversee counseling, nursing, social workers, Little Millers Preschool, Miller Explorers, and other support services designed to ensure students can best focus on learning.
She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Indiana State University, a bachelor’s degree in English from Ball State University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Education Administration. She also has licensing in School Administration and as an Educational Specialist.
Williamson steps into the position of Transportation Director after serving as an assistant principal at Noblesville East Middle School since 2015. He brings a wide range of experience in safety, leadership, scheduling, and planning. In his new role he will oversee all aspects of the Transportation Department including staffing, routing, maintenance, and safety. He holds a master’s degree in education from Olivet Nazarene University, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Purdue University, and leadership licenses from Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI) and Ball State University.
Thacker will begin July 1, 2023, and Williamson will take over Transportation effective Jan. 1, 2024.
