Noblesville Parks Department seeking part-time workers

The City of Noblesville is seeking interested applicants for part-time employment in the parks department. The positions, which include naturalist, recreation coordinator and facility monitors, are available immediately. Employees will be scheduled to work 6 to 28 hours per week, with an hourly pay range from $10 to $13.82 – depending on the position.

“The Noblesville Parks and Recreation team has various events that involve the whole community and we are excited to open these job opportunities for new team members to join in on the fun,” said Recreation Director Nichole Haberlin. “We are an active team and our openings allow others to further their experience in the recreation field and become more involved with community events and programs.”

  • Naturalist (part-time) will be responsible for assisting in planning, programming and supervising department nature programs, special events and marketing. They also will assist in marketing nature programs to a diverse audience in varied settings and promoting recreation programs throughout the community through social media, printed material and brochures/fliers. Baccalaureate degree in natural, life or physical science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The hourly pay range is $11 to $13.82 and hours include various evenings and weekends.
  • Recreation coordinator (part-time) will be responsible for assisting in planning, programming and supervising department programs, special events and marketing. This position will also assist in coordinating and implementing programs, leagues, summer camps and other special events and represent the department at various community activities. High school diploma required and experience/education in parks and recreation or related field is preferred. The hourly pay range is $10 to $12 and hours include various evenings and weekends.
  • Facility Monitors are responsible for monitoring events taking place at various park venues, but this role will primarily be responsible for events at the Recreation Annex. Availability on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. or nights and weekends are preferred. The hourly pay range for this position starts at $10.
