Marian University’s Ancilla College (MUAC) held its annual Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 3 the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind.

At this year’s Changing Lives event, the university also announced a generous $500,000 gift from Marian University alumnus Terry Irving to support the rural nursing program.

Irving graduated in 2006 with his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Marian University. He was inspired to donate to Marian University’s Ancilla College after growing up in rural Indiana and seeing the need for skilled, compassionate nurses to serve in rural communities.

The dinner raises funds to provide scholarships that allow students to develop professionally, personally and spiritually – talents that will continue to spur economic, social, and cultural growth throughout northern Indiana. More than 300 people attended this year’s scholarship dinner, raising more than $300,000 for MUAC student scholarships.
