Austin Mace, a Noblesville native now living Austin, Texas, was recently honored to be named to Forbes Magazine as a recipient of their “30 Under 30” for 2020.
Mace and his business co-founder, Ryan Thomas, were honored in the Marketing and Advertising category.
Mace was raised in Noblesville and graduated from Noblesville High School in 2011. He continued his education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating with honors in 2015. He then moved to Austin, where he and his business partner started Subvrsive, a company focusing at first on virtual reality applications before expanding out into other fields such as augmented reality. They now work with many major clients, many of whom are Fortune 500 companies.
Mace has acquired a list of honors, among them Eagle Scout, inventing one of the first 360 video cameras, 18 of the last nine Young Alumni Award, and also Advisory Board Member at Miami University, an Emmy nomination for filming the first-ever boxing match in virtual reality, and a founding board member of the non-profit Hoosier Heartland Trolley Co., to name a few.
Mace says he set as one of his goals to make the Forbes list while attending Noblesville High School, and was inspired by one of his teachers there, Dan Nicholson, who originally told him about it.
