Noblesville basketball fans don’t have to go far to find games to watch during this holiday week.
Both the Millers boys and girls teams will be hosting tournaments at The Mill. The Noblesville boys will have their tournament first, starting at 10 a.m. today.
In the first game (10 a.m.), Broad Ripple will play Crown Point. The Indianapolis school, which is sadly closing down at the end of this school year, is 5-2 for the season, while Crown Point is 3-3. The Millers are up next (noon), taking on Indianapolis Lighthouse East. Noblesville is 5-3 for the season, with the Pythons at 2-10.
The third game of the day (2 p.m.) will see two undefeated teams face off: Warren Central, ranked fourth in Class 4A, is off to a 5-0 start, while Chesterton comes to Noblesville with a 7-0 record. In the fourth game (4 p.m.), Columbus North takes on Pike; the Bull Dogs are 4-3, while the defending tournament champion Red Devils are 2-4.
Two consolation games are scheduled for 6 and 8 p.m. tonight, while the winning teams will play semi-final games at 10 a.m. and noon on Thursday. The placement games start at 2 p.m. Thursday, leading up to the championship contest at 8 p.m.
Once the boys are done, the Miller girls will host their own tournament on Friday, Dec. 29. Noblesville will play the event’s first game, taking on New Palestine at 10 a.m. The Millers are 7-7, with the Dragons 10-2 for the season.
In the second game, Greensburg will play Southport at noon. The 3A No. 2 Pirates are 12-2 so far this year, with Southport coming into The Mill at 3-10. The third-place game is set for 6 p.m., and the championship game for 8 p.m.
