The local Noblesville Lions Club held their Pork Chop BBQ on June 1 and Pancake Breakfast on June 2. The events raised a little over $6,500 to be used in the club’s local community work. The club would like to thank all those in the community that came out to support the fundraising event.

One special group the Lions want to also thank is its own Noblesville High School Leo Club. Being members of the high school Leo Club, the students are learning leadership and community service along with having fun. The high school Leo Club is supported by the local Lions Club. Two of the Leo Club groups that helped with the BBQ on June 1 are shown in the photos.

John Smith is a Lion member, high school teacher, and the Leo Club Sponsor. John not only works on projects in the Lions Club, but also spends extra time working with the Leo Club students. A big thanks to John for his guidance and dedication.

The Lions Club organization has 46,000 clubs, and 1.4+ million members make it the world’s largest service club organization. Lion members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere they work, they make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people they may never meet. Each Lions Club has the opportunity to sponsor a high school Leo Club.
