Noblesville gives location of Pleasant Street groundbreaking

Late Friday afternoon, Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen gave the location of the upcoming Pleasant Street groundbreaking in his weekly Friday Five video posted to the city’s Facebook page.

The Nov. 14 groundbreaking will take place at 4 p.m. near Maxwell’s Machinery at 17330 River Road. That’s south of State Road 32.

The mayor invites everyone to attend. Click here to RSVP to the event. There will be cookies!

    Y’all c’mon out!
Enjoy the speeding dump trucks splattering windshields with dropped gravel and the noise of ‘Jake Brakes’ inside city limits like the residents along River Road have to endure. While there, look directly west at the Doves Nest neighborhood, as soon all those nice, brick duplexes on the north side of that neighborhood will no longer exist. Remember also that everyone inside the city limits is paying an additional $25 annually for license plates for their vehicles as those who wisk thru this two-lane street will not contribute to it’s construction, but residents will now have 53′ semi trucks rattling the homes in West Ridge, Westbrook & the River Run neighborhoods, (as well as those east of the White River)… all for a two-lane street with tight turn radius roundabouts necessitating roll-over curbs.

Maybe in five or ten years, another ‘by-bass’ will be needed, maybe large enough to handle ‘real’ traffic, maybe Noblesville will get it right at that time.
