The Noblesville girls basketball team headed to Chicagoland on Monday to participate in the 33rd annual Derrill Kipp Hoopfest at Benet Academy in Lisle, Ill.
The Class 4A No. 2 Millers took on the host Benet Redwings in what would be a close game, with the Millers prevailing 64-61. Benet led 19-18 after one quarter and 35-32 at halftime. But Noblesville came back to tie the game at 47-47 by the end of the period, then outscored the Redwings 17-14 in the fourth.
Reagan Wilson, one of this week’s IBCA Players of the Week (see related story), continued her remarkable scoring pace with 31 points, including three 3-pointers. Meredith Tippner was next in line with 22 points, and was also the leading rebounder with five.
The Millers are 18-3 and play at Harrison Wednesday.
