Noblesville gets win in HCC finale

Noblesville avoided a Hoosier Crossroads Conference shutout on Monday, as the Millers beat Franklin Central 50-43 at The Mill for their HCC finale.
The second quarter was the difference for Noblesville. The Millers led 7-6 after the first period, but a solid defensive effort propelled them to a 21-11 halftime lead. Noblesville then added 17 points in the third quarter, and that helped the Millers weather a comeback by the Flashes in the fourth period.
Maddie Knight led Noblesville with 15 points, while Mallory Johnson added 14 points. Anna Kiser had a solid game with nine points and seven rebounds, with Knight collecting six rebounds. Johnson dished out four assists.
The Millers finished conference play 1-6 and are 7-13 overall. Noblesville will host Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. tonight, the first of back-to-back home games to finish the regular season.
