The Noblesville Fourth of July Planning Committee is seeking participants to ensure the community has another fun and patriotic Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival. This year’s festivities will take place on Wednesday, July 4 with the theme of “Stars and Stripes Forever in Noblesville.” The fun starts with the parade at 4:30 p.m. followed by the fireworks festival sponsored by IDI Composites from 6 to 10 p.m. At approximately 10 p.m., the annual fireworks display sponsored by Terry Lee Hyundai / Genesis will begin.
Those interested in participating in the 2018 Noblesville July 4 Parade are encouraged to fill out the entry form online at noblesvillefireworksfestival.com. PDFs may be printed or an interactive version is available that may be filled out and sent electronically to mhoffmeister@noblesville.in.us. Early bird registration is $10 through Friday, June 15. Regular registration is $20 from June 16 to July 2.
New this year, the City of Noblesville is waiving the entry fee to all nonprofits organizations that want to participate in the parade if registered by June 15. After that date, they will be charged the early bird fee of $10. A valid 501(c)(3) may be requested by parade officials for the discount.
“The nonprofit change is to increase the number of participants and help local groups raise awareness about their worthy organizations in a very fun way. We’re also encouraging sports teams and school organizations to participate with the discount. The parade celebrates Noblesville along with our country so our goal is to make it as community-focused as possible,” July 4 Planning Committee Co-Chairman Mike Hoffmeister said.
The Fireworks Festival is free of charge and will offer activities for kids, teens and adults, music, food vendors and more. The city is seeking organizations, businesses and individuals that would like to assist with inflatables or carnival games. Each organization is able to adopt as many stations as they believe can fill with volunteers from 6 to 10 p.m. Organizations can wear matching T-shirts or volunteer vests.
“We will provide the games and prizes and organizations can adopt a game for the day, decorate your table/tent for your organization and provide handouts at the event. You are free to rotate through as many volunteers as needed to assist the event,” said Kidszone Coordinator Nichole Haberlin.
A hospitality tent will provide food and drinks for volunteers in addition to organizations earning in-kind trade or discounted rates for facility rentals. Organizations volunteering with at least 10 volunteers and reaching 20 hours of service can earn a free four-hour court or shelter rental.
