The Noblesville boys wrestling team cruised to victory at the Hamilton Heights Super 6 tournament last Saturday.
The Millers were dominant in all five of their dual meets at the event. Noblesville beat Alexandria Monroe 59-16, Hamilton Heights 63-11, North Central 46-26, Tipton 59-15 and Pendleton Heights 56-18.
Four Millers came away with perfect 5-0 records, starting with Kai Kaohi at 106 pounds. The others were Zach Nekolite at 126, Mason Presits at 144 and Jackson Apple at 285. Aidan Kincaide went 2-0 at 165 pounds.
Noblesville also had four wrestlers finish 4-1: Justus Suddarth at 138, Luke Chastain at 150, Evan Nicholls at 175 and Yan Tioua at 190. Three more Millers wrestlers went 3-2 for the event: Isaac Suddarth at 132, Grant Plunkett at 157 and Cale Metzler at 215.
Blake Weimer was 2-3 at 120, while Daniel Munoz was 1-4 at 113. Jacob Lightle was 1-2 at 165, so every Miller that wrestled won at least one match.
“I was very proud of our team effort, having seven freshmen in the lineup,” said Noblesville coach Michael Weimer. The coach said it was “awesome to watch all 14 of the guys fight for each other on the mat and from the sidelines. This is a fun team to coach.”
Hamilton Heights finished 2-3 as a team. The Huskies beat Tipton 46-36 and Pendleton Heights 38-36, while also falling to North Central 55-21 and Alexandria 52-30. Michael Cain finished 4-1 at 165 for Hamilton Heights.
On Monday, both the Huskies girls and boys teams won dual matches over Lapel. The girls won 42-18 and the boys won 53-13. For the Heights girls team, Kendall Moe is ranked No. 1 at 105 with a 6-0 record and Zoe Pugh is ranked fourth at 120 with an 11-0 record.

Fishers triumphed at the John Hurrle Invitational, which took place last Saturday at Scecina. The Tigers edged out Warren Central 282-272 for first place in the 13-team tournament.
Fishers got wins at four weight classes, starting with Seth Lamb, who went undefeated at 113 pounds. Chayce Yant claimed the 132-pound division with a third-period fall in the championship match. The Tigers clinched the team trophy with two upperweight victories: Chris Quarles scored a first-period pin for the 190-pound championship, then Julian Burgett won the 215 title with a technical fall.

Hamilton Southeastern placed second at the Rick & Rohl Invitational last Saturday at Jasper.
The Royals scored 221 team points; Brownsburg was far and away the winner with 356.5 points, sweeping 12 of the 14 weight classes. The Royals got one victory: Cohen Davis claimed the 165-pound division with a second-period fall.

Sheridan went 4-1 as a team at the Dave Kiley Duals at Cloverdale last Saturday.
The Blackhawks won duals over Covington 53-23, South Putnam 42-39, KIPP Legacy 78-0, Cloverdale 66-13, with their only loss to Shelbyville 51-23. Sheridan had one undefeated wrestler: Caleb Alexander went 5-0 and won the 132-pound weight class.
Six more Sheridan wrestlers went 4-1: Camdyn Vespa at 106, Gabe Snider at 138, Jaden Dunbar at 175, Ryker Ream at 190, Doug Earley at 215 and Owen Trietsch at 285. The ‘Hawks also had four wrestlers go 3-2: Trey Bogus at 120, Asher Barrick at 144, Parker Cravens at 150 and Alex Cravens at 157. Ethan Harbaugh (at 126) and Eli Bales (at 165) both went 2-3.
Sheridan beat Guerin Catholic 60-18 in a Tuesday dual meet, improving to 5-2 for the season. Bogus, Alexander, Barrick, Parker Cravens, Alex Cravens, and Ream all won matches by pin. Gabe Liechty, Owen Springer and Jack Hubbard all got falls for the Golden Eagles.
