Noblesville dropped a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game Thursday, losing a close game 46-44 at Brownsburg.
The game was back and forth the entire way. The Class 4A No. 10 Millers led 9-8 after the first quarter, and went up 14-10 after a Maia Blower 3-pointer and Ally Hutchinson basket. The Bulldogs came back to lead 16-14 before Hutchinson nailed a 3.
Brownsburg held a 21-19 halftime lead and extended that advantage to 36-32 after three quarters. The Millers came back to lead 43-42 after Hutchinson hit another triple, but the Bulldogs regained the lead on Elle McCulloch’s 3 and held it from there.
Meredith Tippner scored 20 points to lead Noblesville, also collecting eight rebounds and making four assists. Hutchinson totaled three 3s on her way to 11 points and got six rebounds. Blower had two 3s for the game while C.C. Quigley made five rebounds.
The Millers are 1-1 in HCC play and 2-1 overall. Noblesville hosts Homestead on Saturday.
