Noblesville celebrates Police Week by wearing blue on Friday, May 18

Annually, May 15 is Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls is National Police Week. Tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, D.C. to participate in various planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

During Police Week, please take a moment to honor Noblesville Police Patrolman Francis Castor, who died in the line of duty on July 28, 1948. He is the only Noblesville Police officer who has fallen in the line of duty to date.

During Police Week, members of the NPD Behind the Scenes and the Noblesville Police Auxiliary are focusing efforts to recognize the men and women who serve the Noblesville Police Department. Citizens are being asked to take a moment to thank an officer and wear blue on Friday, May 18 to support these brave men and women who serve the Noblesville Community.
