United Way of Central Indiana to hold day of community service June 24
Hundreds of people will volunteer on Friday, June 24 for United Way of Central Indiana’s Go All IN Day, an organized day of community service across the region.
More than 700 volunteers will complete over 40 projects for nonprofits, grassroots organizations and community groups throughout United Way’s service area of Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan and Putnam counties.
In Hamilton County, volunteers at Changing Footprints will sort and pack 5,000 pairs of shoes to be sent to Ukraine through the Noblesville nonprofit Mission to Ukraine. The event will take on June 24 in the shoe room of Changing Footprints, which is located in the basement of the building at 10291 N. Meridian St., Carmel, at the southwest corner of 103rd Street and Pennsylvania Parkway.
Volunteer spots still remain for some shifts, so sign up now at this link.
Changing Footprints collects new and gently used shoes for those in need, including people experiencing homelessness or recovering from disaster.
United Way hosted its first Go All IN Day in September, when more than 500 volunteers participated across Central Indiana.
