Noblesville beats Marion, several gymnasts get career highs

The Noblesville gymnastics team finished its regular season with a win at Marion on Monday.
The Millers won the team competition 93.425-35.825. Noblesville won all five events, with Olivia Mangin taking the vault and the uneven bars. Mangin’s score of 8.75 was the highest Noblesville score of the night. Devyn Palmer finished first in the balance beam and floor exercise.
Several other Millers recorded season and career highs. Kayleigh Sahr placed third in the all-around with a 29.025, a season and career high score. Sahr also got a season and career high on the vault with an 8.35. Racheal Glasener scored a 6.25 on the uneven bars for a season and career high, and Ella Deno’s 8.125 on the vault was a season and career high for her.
In junior varsity competition, Cailey Hurst won the vault, Glasener was first on the beam and Deno won the floor exercise.
“We end our regular season competitions with a win and an overall confidence of our team going into the sectional competition prepared for battle as we have improved greatly from the beginning of the season to now,” said Noblesville coach Jody Ramey. “I am very proud of this team and all their hard work as we end our regular season competitions on a high note.”
The Millers will travel to Lafayette Jefferson on Saturday for the sectional. Competition begins at 11 a.m.
