“We are optimistic about the economic recovery and excited to add these aspiring architects to our team this summer,” said Darren Peterson, principal architect and owner at Peterson Architecture.

In addition to their work on architectural projects, Field and Sloderbeck will also be helping create and expand Peterson Architecture’s technological library. Peterson Architecture partners with a diverse group of clients to achieve innovative and practical solutions for a multitude of projects.

This year, many internship opportunities have been scarce due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Peterson Architecture has made it a priority to continue their internship program to give architects the experience needed to succeed.

Field is a 2017 Noblesville High School graduate, and is currently a senior at Ball State University. He is in his fourth year in the College of Architecture and Planning and will graduate after five years with a professional degree in Architecture. He chose the profession of Architecture because of his love for art, and interest in residential structures. Field will be with Peterson Architecture through the end of the year.

Sloderbeck is a 2018 graduate of Hamilton Heights High School. Claire is currently a third-year Architecture major in the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University and is planning on graduating with a Professional Degree in Architecture. Sloderbeck decided to major in architecture after finding interest in civil engineering and has a love for art and design. She is interning for Peterson Architecture for the summer to gain experience and acquire skills she can use for the rest of her education and career.
