The Noblestories program on Bob Arbuckle, owner of Arbuckle’s Railroad Place in Noblesville, is being postponed until October. Originally scheduled for March 18, and rescheduled for April 15, the program will now happen on Oct. 14. Arbuckle underwent pacemaker surgery last month, and though he is recovering, he is concerned that he might not be back to 100 percent by mid-April.
“Delaying until October will ensure I am completely recovered,” Arbuckle says, “and it will coincide with my 96th birthday.”
“We are happy to comply with Mr. Arbuckle’s request,” says organizer Mike Corbett. “He’s got a great story to tell and we want him feeling healthy and hearty as he tells it.”
The Noblestories committee is working on a series of storytelling programs, and may be ready with another prior to the Arbuckle program in October. The goal is to present about four programs each year. Noblestories is sponsored by the Noblesville Preservation Alliance and Hamilton County Television.
