Shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) responded to a possible apartment building on fire at 401 Harbour Town Drive.
The first units on scene were met by heavy smoke coming from a maintenance building attached to the apartment complex. Crews were able to enter the building and quickly bring the fire under control. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The fire appears to have started in the maintenance building, where it was contained.
NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department and the Cicero Fire Department.
While this fire did not take place in a home, NFD would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to sleep with their bedroom doors closed. A closed door can help create a safe, breathable space in the event of a fire.
