Young artists will have the chance to show off their creativity again this year during the Nickel Plate Arts “Adventures in Art” Spring Break drop-in camp. The open studio-style camp will allow kids of all ages to experiment with 2-D and 3-D projects in a variety of art mediums with help from staff and volunteers.
Registration is not required for the camp, which runs Monday-Friday, March 27-31 and April 3-7 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Cumberland Park (10580 Cumberland Road) in Fishers.
“Kids are naturally super creative,” says Nickel Plate Arts Program Coordinator Kavita Mahoney. “Our Spring Break Camp really gives mini artists a chance to sample various art mediums and use an array of tools and materials they would not have access to at home.”
The cost for the camp is $10 per project, with Nickel Plate Arts providing all supplies and assistance from staff and volunteers. Projects rotate through the week and include paper marbling, clay sculpture, weaving, painting and more.
“This camp is great for kids at any level.” says Mahoney. “Whether they already have a passion for art or if they want to get a taste to whet their palette, Spring Great Camp is a great opportunity to foster that creativity!”
