Nicholas Parker Cathcart, 32, Anderson, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 7, 1992, in Indianapolis.
Nick proudly served his country in the United States Army as an infantryman for eight years. He was a military history buff. Nick worked as a welder and enjoyed golfing, cooking, baking, and BBQ. He liked playing video games and Pokémon with his son, Ian. Nick was a gun collector and avid hunter. He volunteered at his church in the Men’s Club and enjoyed working fish frys. Most of all, Nick loved his wife, his boys, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Kaitlin Cathcart; father, William (Shelly) Cathcart; mother, Theresa (Thomas) Hotwagner; sons, Ian Shaw and Simon Cathcart; siblings, Luke Cathcart, Gabrielle Cathcart, Elijah Cathcart, and Noah Cathcart; stepbrothers, Chris Hotwagner, Stuart Hotwagner, Blake Hotwagner, Zach Yurack, and Jacob (Darian) Yurack; brother-in-law, Chris (Evelyn) Emily; his father-in law and mother-in-law, Ronald & Kathy Emily; as well as multiple aunts and uncles, and several loving cousins.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald & Joyce Cathcart and Chester & Anna Lipinski; and his uncle, Joseph Cathcart.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with Rev. Cole Daily officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
