The City of Westfield is considering a public/private partnership to construct a parking structure just east of Grand Junction in downtown Westfield. According to city officials, the partnership would create 650 new parking spaces for the downtown area with the parking garage being within the newly-proposed Union Square apartment building.

Also new to Union Square would be “The Union,” a food and drink destination. The expansion to the east of Grand Junction would encompass three- to four-story apartments, with the building on Union having storefronts at the bottom as well as additional surface-level parking.
