“Establishing the seventh fire station in one of Fishers’ fastest growing areas allows us to provide improved service to those residents living on the eastern portion of our community,” said Fishers Fire and Emergency Services Chief Steven Orusa. “We look forward to continuing our services to these residents and joining the neighborhood.”

Fishers Fire and Emergency Services will operate a fire engine and a transporting ALS ambulance out of Station 397.

Bids will be requested on Aug. 23, 2021. Groundbreaking is anticipated in the fall of 2021 with completion a year later, in the fall of 2022. The design will be very similar to Station 93, located by the Metropolitan Indianapolis Airport on Allisonville Road.

Fishers Fire Department is an “All Hazards” department with 140 career firefighters. Currently, the department responds with six ALS engines, three ladder trucks, three transporting ALS ambulances, safety officer, EMS duty officer, and a Battalion Chief.
