New field trip grants for Indiana educators

The Indiana Native American Indian Affairs Commission is pleased to offer a new grant to Indiana teachers for field trips to locations around the state which are connected to Native American Indian history or culture.

The Indiana Educators Field Trip Grant for Native American Studies grant provides reimbursement of up to $250 to cover transportation and/or admission fees to pre-approved sites such as Prophetstown, Waapaahsiiki Siipiiwi Mounds, and the Miami Indian Village School. A maximum of $2,500 in grant reimbursements will be awarded.

Applications will be available on the INAIAC website after May 1, 2017, at www.in.gov/inaiac. Please select Resources, Education, then select the item labeled “Teacher Grants.”
