Steve Nelson (aka Mr. Muffin) will be the featured speaker at the June 13 meeting of the Northern Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Choo Choo Café & Bakery located along the Nickel Plate Railway at 185 W. Main St. in Atlanta.
Nelson will update members on current and future activities in Hamilton County’s northernmost community to be shared and enjoyed by the entire family. Nelson, a retired entrepreneur and Professor at Butler University, is an avid train enthusiast with a lifelong passion for model trains. He owns and operates Mr. Muffin’s Trains and serves on the Nickel Plate Express Board of Directors. Since making Atlanta home several years ago, Nelson and his wife, Liz, have committed to doing their part to spur growth, create a railroading destination, and foster family-friendly activities and experiences in the area.
