The NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee announced today a statewide Knockout Competition to encourage Hoosiers’ participation ahead of NBA All-Star 2024 and celebrates the love of basketball in Indiana.
“Since the very beginning, we’ve committed to making NBA All-Star 2024 the most community- and fan-centric NBA All-Star ever,” said Rick Fuson, NBA All-Star Board of Directors and Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO. “Through the Knockout Competition, we can include fans throughout the state, not just in Indianapolis, in NBA All-Star 2024 and we can continue working toward our commitment.”
All 92 counties in Indiana are represented in the competition, which will take place during select high school boys and girls basketball games across the state. The winner of each competition will receive a limited-edition NBA All-Star basketball, two tickets to NBA Crossover during NBA All-Star 2024, as well as an invitation to a final Knockout competition during All-Star weekend at Bicentennial Unity Plaza.
Indiana Fever guards Grace Berger and Lexie Hull will also represent NBA All-Star 2024 and will be attending select games throughout the state leading up to NBA All-Star 2024.
“It is a great fit to have Grace and Lexie promoting and engaging in our 92-county knockout competition as part of the lead up to NBA All-Star weekend. We cannot wait to see fans across the state compete in this one-of-a-kind knockout tournament and we appreciate their commitment to growing the game throughout our state,” said Indiana Fever President Dr. Allison Barber.
Berger and Hull are scheduled to attend the following games:
- Tuesday, Jan. 23: Castle at Evansville Mater Dei
- Thursday, Jan. 25: Angola at Warsaw
- Friday, Jan. 26: Greenwood at Perry Meridian
- Friday, Feb. 9: Roncalli at Heritage Christian
- Saturday, Feb. 10: Lawrence Central at Ben Davis
- Tuesday, Feb. 13: Indiana Math and Science North at Eminence
