Natasha Robinson, former Development & Marketing Specialist at Prevail, Inc., was given a special gift at Thursday’s Christmas in the Kitchen event presented by Wallington Asset Management, LLC, which took place at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
Christmas in the Kitchen is a fundraiser for Indiana Wish, the organization that grants wishes to Hoosier children aged 3 to 18 who suffer from a life-threatening illnesses.
The gift was from Brian Myers, the longtime Celebration of Hope Committee Chair at Prevail, in recognition of Robinson’s tireless work and activism for victims of abuse and domestic violence in Hamilton County. Myers is also the chairman of the Biddle Memorial Foundation.
Robinson served at Prevail for 14 years and received three promotions in that time. She built the marketing initiatives from the ground up and elevated Prevail’s presence in the community.
In her time as Prevail’s fundraiser, she raised over $5 million in support of the organization and its mission. She connected countless people to a cause she supported without wavering and saved lives by making sure Prevail’s services were widely known.
Robinson has recently been elected to the Serve Noblesville Board of Directors and is chairing a new event that will help raise funds and increase awareness for suicide prevention and mental health through the Donaide Foundation.
After receiving the gift, Robinson published this post on Facebook:
Tonight wasn’t supposed to be about me…but I am beyond the feels.
On the surface I left Prevail quietly, no recognition for the amount of literal blood, sweat, tears, and hours away from loved ones. Returning to the office 4 weeks after birth, because the mission needed me or working until 4 am when I had an event the next day.
I can’t get that time back, but I can’t say I’d want to.
I served. I inspired others to serve. We all saved lives.
Tonight…I was reminded that I made an impact. I was brought back to a place that made it all make sense. I (capital I) am a force of nature. I have the absolute ability to inspire, create, and lead. I love each task full heartedly and grow with the people in the trenches with me.
Brian Myers YOU. Without you, I wouldn’t be this new version of me. The tears I cried over this gift, were relief and of being seen. A thank you does not encompass what you gave me tonight. I am beyond grateful.
My new chapter with STS is so full of amazing people so much growth, and possibilities.
They have opened me up to be the best version of me and to still have the capacity to do what my heart was built for…to serve, to create, and to lead.
As I look to the future, I am so ready.
Thank you to those who have stood with me and continue to show up when I call and ask you to volunteer with me. I promise you, I will always show up with everything I have. And thank you to my family, who knows giving is a part of who I am. Even if all I have to give is time.
Let’s leave this world a better place with the time we have.
