Naomi C. Gang, 98, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born on February 20, 1923 to Clarence and Susie (Brannon) Haven in Hamilton, Ohio.
During WWII, Naomi worked in a riveting factory and loved to buy shoes with her earnings. She was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ and enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. Naomi was born to be a grandma; her grandkids affectionately called her “Omi,” and she was known as “Mo” by her nieces and nephews. She loved making food for her family, and everyone counted on her supply of banana bread, snickerdoodles, and banana pudding. Naomi was an avid reader and crocheted. She loved making afghans, baby blanket and Christmas stockings for her family members.
Naomi is survived by her son, Tom (Roben) Gang; daughters, Janet (Wendell) Moss and Joyce (John) Wielinski; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Gang Jr.; sisters, Katheryn Durham and Grace Tepker; and her brothers, Donald Haven, Raymond Haven, and Paul Haven.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Minister Mitchell Haynes will officiate. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
