Several Noblesville organizations are joining forces for Noblesville’s Race Weekend on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31.

The fun kicks off on Friday with the 12th annual Darlington Bed Race, which has historically been the “kick off to summer on the square.” Supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville (BGCN) and Noblesville Parks & Recreation, the event will raise funds to support youth programs that take place during out-of-school times.

“We’re very excited to be part of Noblesville Main Street’s Race weekend!” BGCN Director of Club Operations Abigail Stutesman said. “Over the past decade, the Bed Race has raised over $150,000 to fund scholarships for our youth programs. These scholarships provide positive, engaging activities for local kids and are needed now more than ever. Youth are needing the freedom and social connections that our organizations offer, and families are needing the financial assistance that events like the Bed Race make possible.”

Since its inception, the annual Bed Race has been generously title sponsored by Darlington Snacks. Matteo’s Trackside VIP Race Dinner provides the ultimate Bed Race experience to guests with their three-course meal and up-close seating. Onlookers are invited to attend this free downtown event to take in the action with the bed parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. and racing beginning at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to support the event through a Text to Donate initiative by texting BEDRACE to 44-321 for a chance to win great prizes from supporters such as Cabela’s and Matteo’s Italian Ristorante.
