Hamilton Southeastern football coach Adam Morris is stepping down to take a job at DePauw University.
Morris submitted his resignation on Wednesday, right before the Hamilton Southeastern School Board meeting. HSE Schools superintendent Allen Bourff then informed the board members during the meeting.
Morris will be joining the football coaching staff at DePauw. Bourff told Larry Lannan of LarryInFishers that an opening has been posted for the Royals’ coaching job. The earliest a new coach can be hired is late April.
Morris coached Southeastern during the 2018 and 2019 season. He went 3-7 in his first season, then improved to 5-5 during his second season. He had also coached at Muncie Central for two years, 2015 and 2016.
