Here are scores from sectionals involving Hamilton County teams:
Sectional 24 at Yorktown
Jay County beat the host Tigers 56-48 in the lone opening-round game played on Tuesday. The Patriots, who are receiving votes in the Class 3A poll, play Delta in the first semifinal on Friday.
Hamilton Heights, the No. 1 team in Class 3A, plays an opening-round game tonight against New Castle. That contest starts around 7:30 p.m., after a 6 p.m. game between Centerville and Frankton.
Sectional 27 at Bishop Chatard
The host Trojans beat Brebeuf Jesuit 55-40 in Tuesday’s first game, with Heritage Christian defeating Herron 67-18 in the second game.
Guerin Catholic takes on Heritage Christian in Friday’s second semifinal, to start around 7:30 p.m. Chatard will play Shortridge in the first game, which begins at 6 p.m.
