Monica Anne Patterson

August 18, 1981 – October 19, 2022

Monica Anne Patterson, 41, Cicero, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital. She was born on August 18, 1981, to Mark and Cynthia (Dugger) Holliday in Langley, Va. She graduated from Westfield High School.

Monica was a caregiver, a wife, and a mother. She was received in Heaven by her mother. Monica’s memory will be cherished and she will be deeply missed by her husband, Steven Patterson, and their children, Austin, Aidan, Aliyah and Avery; her father, Mark; her siblings (and siblings-in-love), Michael Haskett, Natalie (Jamey) Tolley, Melody (Allan) Carr, Nicholas (Savannah) Holliday; her nieces and nephews, Laney, Lucas and Logan Tolley, Emma Perry, Sayla and Brynna Carr, and Nathan Holliday; her grandmother, Mary Joan McVey; the Patterson and Pharis Families, the McMullan and Dugger Families, the Haskett Family; and the countless human beings who were blessed to know Monica and were loved by her.

Monica was an angel here on Earth. Even as a child, she was quick to comfort and encourage others and would find joy in making them laugh. She wanted people to see themselves as she saw them. Perfectly imperfect. Beautifully human. Deserving of love just as they were … unconditionally. There was no human being or animal she met that Monica didn’t try to love with all she had. Monica dedicated her life to caring for others and would give, in any way, to make sure someone felt seen, loved and heard. She was a spark of laughter and a heartfelt hug. She knew somehow exactly what needed to be said or when to just sit in silence with you. She was a place of shelter, and she was the Sun. She was the wise old soul and the joyous youth. She poured out her love into every little thing because she knew the little things mattered the very most.

Please join us in celebrating the gift of Monica Anne. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with services at 7 p.m., on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
