Mollie Ann Wetter

February 27, 1986 – June 12, 2019

Mollie Ann Wetter, 33, Fishers, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at IU Health Saxony Hospital in Fishers. She was born on February 27, 1986 to Robert and Brenda (Kelsheimer) Wetter in Decatur, Ill.

Mollie was in the graduating class of 2004 at Warrensburg-Latham High School, and also graduated Millikin University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry. She worked as an Analytical Chemist at ADM up until April 2012 when she suffered an extremely rare brain stem stroke. Her stroke left her almost completely paralyzed, but did not affect her memory or brilliant mental abilities. Even in her condition, Mollie always looked for ways she could help others. She would grow out her hair to donate, and even at the end of her all-too-short life, she was able to help others one last time by being an organ donor.

Mollie was a brilliant Mensa member who possessed a photographic memory, a member of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), a vegetarian and a master knitter. She had a heart of gold and was a great friend. Most of all, Mollie loved her family, especially her sister, brother-in-law and nieces.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Brenda Wetter; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Shawn Weible; nieces, LillieAnne and RoseMarie Weible; grandparents, JD and Winona Kelsheimer and Jean Wetter; uncles and aunts, Scott and Mary Wetter, Richard and Kari Wetter, Pam Wetter, Rev. Don and Kathy Meier, David and Kyle Kelsheimer, Jeff and Gina Kelsheimer, Mark and Tanya Richmond, Bob and Renee King, and Tom and Janet Pittman; as well as a host of cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Billie and Betsie.

Mollie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Wetter; grandmother, Elinor Vance; and uncles, Steve and Stewart Wetter.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. After the service, there will be a funeral procession to the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to PETA, 501 Front St., Norfolk, VA 23510.
