Mobley named new principal of Noblesville High School

Noblesville Schools announced Friday that, pending board approval, assistant principal Dr. Janae Mobley will be the new head principal of Noblesville High School (NHS), replacing previous principal Dr. Craig McCaffrey.

Mobley, who holds a doctorate in education leadership from the University of Kentucky, has been an assistant principal at NHS since 2019. Prior to that she served as a dean of students at NHS, an assistant principal at Yorktown High School, and a teacher in Carmel Clay Schools.

She was recently named the Assistant Principal of the Year for north central Indiana (region 5) by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).

In addition to overseeing graduation, Mobley has had responsibility for collaborative teacher and leadership academic teams at the high school and spearheaded the adoption of the new Indiana high school diploma.

“The high school principal position is one of the most demanding and visible leadership roles in a school district,” Superintendent Dr. Dan Hile said. “We were fortunate to have many candidates apply for this opening and held a competitive and comprehensive selection process with dozens of different voices offering input. Janae rose to the top thanks to her strong communication and interpersonal skills, deep care for Noblesville students, staff and families, and enduring focus on academic excellence. I have every confidence that she is ready to lead NHS with a fresh vision for the future.”

Mobley says she is ready to keep serving Noblesville Schools.

“I am deeply honored and truly humbled to step into the role of principal at Noblesville High School, a school that means so much to me,” Mobley said. “Being part of this community has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I’m ready to continue serving in this new capacity – working side by side with students, staff, and families to build on our successes and opportunities for every student to grow in themselves, their learning, and their community.”
