Missing Carmel man found dead in Indianapolis

On Thursday, Nov. 3, Bernard Caillouet, 24, Carmel, was reported to the Carmel Police Department as a missing person. He was reported to have walked away from his residence on the evening of Oct. 29.

On Friday, Nov. 4, the investigation revealed Caillouet was believed to be endangered and in need of medical treatment, so a Silver Alert was issued.

On Monday, Dec. 12, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a report of a body found in the 1900 block of Bluff Road in Indianapolis. The Marion County Coroner’s Office took possession of the body and, through their investigation, were able to identify the deceased as Caillouet.

The investigation into his cause of death is being conducted by the Marion County Coroner’s Office; however, foul play is not suspected. Any questions regarding the cause of death of Caillouet should be directed to the Marion County Coroner’s Office at (317) 327-4744.
