Millers wrestling goes unbeaten at Valpo

Noblesville traveled to Valparaiso on Saturday for the Viking Duals, and came home as the undefeated team champion.
The Millers finished 4-0 as a team at the meet, beating South Bend Adams 62-9, Valpo 44-30, Michigan City 64-18 and Kankakee Valley 57-24. Seven different Noblesville wrestlers finished the day unbeaten at 4-0: Tim Alexander (106 pounds), Joey Kitko (113), Dalton Huffman (126), Justin Johnson-Sparks (132), Gary Kitko (138), Sebastian Dillon (145) and Sam Wertz (285). Anthony Georgiou went 3-1 at 182 pounds, while Uriah Whetzell won his lone match at 152 pounds.
“I was very proud of how the team responded after our two tough losses,” said Noblesville coach Michael Weimer. “These guys wrestled with a ‘chip’ on their shoulder and when they do that, great things happen. They came to compete today.”
