Millers take third, Westfield fourth at Noblesville Invite

The Noblesville girls track and field team hosted its Invitational Wednesday night.
Homestead won the meet by scoring 132 points. Lawrence Central nosed out the Millers for second place by a half-point, 99.5 to 99. Westfield took fourth with 82 points.
Noblesville won three events. The Millers started with a win in the 4×800 relay; Sophie Reichard, Susanna Sharples-Gordon, Anna Hazelrigg and Taylor Gregory clocked in at 9:55.09. Abi Little was first in the 1600 run, running in 5:08.93 and outpacing second place by over 10 seconds. Shelby Tyler was first in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 8 inches.
The Shamrocks got two event victories. Sydney Spears was first in the 400 dash, clocking in at 1:00.10. Sophie Porter won the 3200 run in a time of 11:49.63.
