Noblesville scored a huge victory on Friday, shocking Class 4A No. 2 Avon 49-46 in an overtime Hoosier Crossroads game on the road.
The Orioles led 13-5 after one quarter, then inched ahead 24-15 at halftime and 38-28 after three periods. Baron Walker got going for the 4 No. 12 Millers in the third quarter with eight points.
Noblesville came back in the fourth, outscoring Avon 15-5 to force overtime with the score 43-43. The Millers then held the Orioles to three points in the extra period to get the victory.
Walker led Noblesville with 21 points, including 15 in the second half. Curry finished with 14 points.
The Millers finished HCC play with a 4-3 record, tying them for third in the conference. Noblesville is 16-5 overall and completes the regular season Tuesday at Mississinewa.
