Millers squeak past Royals to open playoffs, Guerin Catholic & Carmel each play today

The Indiana Girls Lacrosse Association playoffs are under way.

Two Hamilton County teams faced off on Friday, as Noblesville traveled to Hamilton Southeastern. It was a close game throughout, with the Millers edging out the Royals 15-14. Nataley Blackburn scored Noblesville’s winning goal with two minutes left in the fourth quarter to move the Millers on to the next round.

Blackburn finished the game with six goals, while Lydia Dumas added four goals and Chloe Barnett scored three goals. Emma Hammond dished out three assists and scored one goal, while Marisha Woehler had one goal and one assist.

Sarah Gastineau scored four goals for Southeastern, with Jessie Lyons adding three goals and one assist. Sidney Sloan and Reagan Janes both put in two goals. Anna Silver made one assist. Edie Fisher, Brooke Daugherty and Olivia Bradley all scored one goal.

The opening round of playoffs continue today; Carmel takes on Cathedral, while Guerin Catholic plays Evansville North.
